As an ”insurance against loss” testing for surface defects is necessary – but which kind? It certainly has to be: quick, clean, residue-free and safe. Of course: eddy current. Then however: "off the peg" (with compromises here and there) or ”made-to-order” (expensive, just what made-to-order clothing exactly is) ?
